Tips to Compare Colleges

If you are not sure where you want to transfer to, here are some tips to help you in your decision making process.

Figure out what you want

Before you start looking at specific universities, you should first take some time to decide what is most important to you in your future school. Make a list of your personal preferences and consider the following:

  • Location
  • Size
  • Academic Programs
    • Highly Ranked Programs
  • Extra-Curricular Activities
    • Sports
    • Student Organizations
    • Student Life
  • Cost

Begin your research

Now that you have an idea of what you are looking for in a university, start looking at what specific schools have to offer.

  • Learn about the Application Process
    • Dates & deadlines
    • Personal Statement
  • Learn about the Departmental Application Process
    • Dates & deadlines

  • Research Financial Aid & Scholarships
