- Investigate career interests
- Find an internship or volunteer in your field of interest
 
 - Select university major/program
- Select at least 3 colleges to apply
 
 - Identify requirements for admission
- required classes and Grade Point Average (GPA) for university and major admissions
 - university admissions deadlines for program, financial aid and scholarships
 - other requirements (example: 100 hours in patient contact setting for nursing)
 
 - Prepare applications
