We are excited to share a lineup of workshops and events that will help you build the skills needed to succeed in your academic and professional journey. Here’s a quick preview of what’s coming up in the next couple of months:

Navigating the Transfer Process

Writing a Compelling Personal Statement

“Make your dream school fall in love with you” Your personal statement is your chance to shine! Join us for this workshop and learn how to tell your story in a way that stands out.

Finding Purpose & Career Exploration with Dr. Brian Riches

Are you striving to make a difference, achieve meaningful goals or build a fulfilling career? Join us for a workshop led by Dr. Brian Riches, a developmental psychologist specializing in purpose in life. Learn the benefits of finding purpose and how it can transform your education, career and life.

Resume & Cover Letter Essentials

Learn how to create a polished resume and cover letter that gets you the interview.
Tip: Come prepared with previous work/volunteer experience or a draft of your resume!

Interview Skills Bootcamp

UW Martin Family Foundation Scholarship

The UW Martin Family Foundation offers two scholarships to transfer students: the Achievement Scholarship ($5,000 award to use at Highline College and $12,000/year to use at UW Seattle) and the Honors Scholarship ($12,000/year to use at UW Seattle). S.T.E.M. Information Q&A
Biology, Chemistry, Physics: Come meet the UWB Advisor for Chemistry, Physics, and Biology, as well as a UWB student who transferred from Highline College to UWB. This session is a true Question & Answer format, not a formal presentation. It is geared for students who want to meet us and ask any questions! We truly look forward to meeting with you and answering your questions about UWB’s Biology, Chemistry, or Physics programs!
