Personal Statement Workshop

Description:
Writing an effective personal statement or essay is an important part of the transfer application process.  Attend this session and you will learn how to write a statement outlining your goals, achievements, leadership skills and more!  Gain valuable tips on how to brainstorm ideas and write effectively. The presenter will also share some great tips on how to organize your essay well. By attending this session, you will learn how to make your application stand out and get noticed!

Description: 

An advisor from The Evergreen State College (Tacoma Campus) Office of Admissions will have a drop-in Information Table in the Highline Student Union. Students who have questions about Evergreen-Tacoma (programs; admissions requirements, application deadlines, scholarships, etc) can drop by and speak with the advisor. Feel free to bring along a copy of your Highline transcript (and current quarter's classes) for an unofficial review of your credits.

 

UW Seattle Foster School of Business Information Session

Description: 

An advisor from the UW Seattle Foster School of Business will be at Highline College to give a presentation on how to prepare for and apply to the Business program. Students who are interested in business or accounting should attend and get the facts! Learn how to be a competitive applicant! The advisor will cover: admissions requirements including GPA, prerequisite courses, when to apply, Wrting Skills Assessment or WSA and answer questions. The advisor will share some valuable tips on what the Business program is looking for!

College Transfer Fair

Description: 

If you are planning to transfer to a four-year college or university, it is NEVER TOO EARLY to plan your transfer! There will be over 20 four-year WA colleges and universities on campus to provide you with information on admissions to their school. Come by and get your questions answered about application deadlines, majors, scholarship opportunities, etc. The fair is a great place to explore colleges and options!

Current Highline College students who are planning to transfer to a university in the near future.
